What is the process at filu for special exams?
Depending on which organ system is being examined in your animal, we carry out a specific examination. For example, the skin is viewed under a microscope. We listen to the heart and examine it more closely using X-rays and ultrasound. The digestive organs can also be listened to, palpated and examined using X-rays and ultrasound. Some tests also require a blood analysis, including for the hormonal system. For the musculoskeletal system, we scan your animal and carry out, for example, a lameness examination and X-ray images. With regard to the nervous system, we check whether all responses to stimuli are intact. And to assess eyesight, we use special devices to look deep into your four-legged friend's eyes. All of these investigations are accompanied by a detailed medical history to understand what could be the cause of the condition.
