Why are we different?

Four-legged friends are part of the filu family, just like you.

Caring for our team is a central aspect of our veterinary medicine. With every step we take, we keep people in mind.

We want to be better and better.

We're always looking for ways to make things better. Because when it comes to creating a great experience, good simply isn't good enough. We strive for great things.

A place of wellbeing for everyone.

We want our practices to be places where everyone — our employees, pet owners and furry friends — feels welcome and comfortable.

Our team

Lead Vet
 Robert Hildebrandt

Robert's veterinary career began with training as a veterinary assistant (TFA). During his studies, he also worked with horses and cattle, but his true passion lies with dogs and cats. As a veterinarian, he gained several years of experience at a university and an animal clinic, completed an internship, and began his specialization as a board-certified small animal veterinarian. In his free time, Robert finds balance by playing basketball and frequently exploring the Rhine or the forest.

Care Team
Veterinary Assistant (TFA)
 Josephine Meyer

Josephine completed her training as a veterinary assistant (TFA) in 2023 at a small animal practice in Nuremberg and then worked at an animal clinic in Cologne. At filu, her focus areas include treatments, emergency care, and inpatient care. She plans to pursue further training in physiotherapy and naturopathy for dogs and cats. In her personal life, she enjoys staying active, loves to travel, spend time with family and friends, and is always accompanied by her cat Loca.

Practice Hub Lead
 Nathalie Schweder

Nathalie is a trained medical assistant (MFA) and brings valuable experience from human medicine. She has already worked as a practice manager and in the management of a large dental clinic. Having grown up with cats, she is a true animal lover – her own cat, Sydney, is named after her second home, Australia, where she lived for a year. Her professional journey has also taken her to London and Bulgaria. In her free time, she is passionate about traveling, discovering new places and cultures, and spending time with her friends from around the world.

Service
 Marco Rausch

Marco spent much of his childhood with his grandparents – surrounded by dogs, cats, sheep, goats, and around 700 racing pigeons, which shaped his deep love for animals to this day. He has been working in customer service for 20 years and feels most at home in that environment. At filu, he now brings together his two greatest passions: animals and service.

Care Team
Senior Software Engineer
 Yannik Wissner

Yannik is part of the filu engineering team as a fullstack developer with a focus on frontend development. He lives in Hanover with his two Cocker Spaniels, Karl and Rudi. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, tinkering with smart home devices and his home server. Yannik is also an avid reader, especially of classics – he's a member of two book clubs.

Office Team
IT System Administrator
 Lukas Menzel

Lukas has a strong passion for Linux, container technologies, and enthusiastically self-hosts open-source projects in his free time. He enjoys traveling, especially to the Czech Republic, Poland, Sweden, and the Netherlands. In addition to his love for technology, he’s interested in dioramas, nature, and architecture – particularly Brutalism – and enjoys expressing these interests through drawing.

Office Team
Vet
 Zoe Vosberg

Zoe has worked in various veterinary practices in Hamburg as well as in an animal shelter – with a particular focus on animal welfare and the treatment of wild, stray, and confiscated animals. Professionally, her focus lies in internal medicine and ultrasound. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, and sailing on the Alster during the summer. She currently doesn’t have a pet but plans to welcome a dog into her life again in the future.

Care Team
Vet
Mag. med. vet. Marie Schönecker

Marie is originally from Cologne and studied veterinary medicine at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Vienna. She gained practical experience at a small animal practice in Düsseldorf and has been working as a veterinarian at Filu since April 2025. Our values

No Tricks, just Treats!

At filu, we are passionate about providing veterinarians and pet owners with an unforgettable experience. Our commitment to the “perfect treat” drives us to make the world a better place, one treat at a time. We do everything we can to create pleasant and useful products and services that guarantee the best experience when visiting a vet.

Overcome the ott(er)s!

We don't know “It's always been done this way.” We question the status quo, learn from every experience and strive for long-term success. We welcome improvement and growth and are excited to challenge ourselves.

Walk the dog, don’t talk the dog

We proactively take responsibility for our actions. Always looking for solutions and making decisions with long-term effects, we work together to help each other and ensure positive results. Determined to make a difference, we implement our solutions diligently.

Our herd is our calling!

We promote an honest, trusting culture of cooperation. We are friendly to each other, look at situations from each other's perspectives and express our thoughts in an open, respectful way. Together, we create a safe and supportive environment where everyone is heard and respected.

A loyal pawtner for life!

We are convinced that loyalty and perseverance pay off compared to the easier but often less rewarding path of opportunism. We want to make an emotional connection to our work, represent our mission, and inspire others. Our mission is long-term.
