Marie is originally from Cologne and studied veterinary medicine at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Vienna. She gained practical experience at a small animal practice in Düsseldorf and has been working as a veterinarian at Filu since April 2025. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time in nature – especially hiking.

Luca is from Hamburg and lives in St. Pauli. Even without having a pet of her own, she found her way into veterinary medicine – with a particular interest in surgery. In her free time, she loves traveling in her camper van or relaxing in a hammock, whether in the mountains or by the sea.

venja entdeckte nach dem Tiermedizinstudium in Leipzig schnell ihre Begeisterung dafür, Tiermedizin und Kommunikation zu verbinden. Heute gestaltet sie das Employer Branding bei filu mit und bringt ihre Erfahrung aus Marketing und Studium ein. Mit kreativen Einblicken aus dem Praxisalltag stärkt sie die Verbindung zur filu Community – immer dem Leitsatz „Happy Vets, Happy Pets“ folgend und mit dem Ziel, moderne, wertschätzende Arbeitswelten zu schaffen. In ihrer Freizeit ist sie gerne auf dem Rücken von Pferden, mit dem Rucksack in der Ferne oder in den Bergen unterwegs.

Verena worked as a TFA in a veterinary clinic for many years and is our “laboratory star” at filu. In her free time, she regularly travels by bus to explore the world.

Merlin comes from sunny Karlsruhe and completed his bachelor's degree at KIT before switching to TUM for his master's degree. He has had quite a few animal housemates - from geckos and tortoises to his faithful Goldendoodle, who has been with him for 14 years. His great passion is cycling. Merlin is particularly enthusiastic about the startup world - he has already worked as a Founder Associate in a startup - at filu he is a working student in Venture Development with a lot of curiosity and drive.

Before starting her veterinary studies, Ann-Sophie worked in human medicine as a medical technologist for radiology (MTR). She has already gained experience in a small animal center – particularly in CT/MRI diagnostics, which aligns perfectly with her previous training. In her free time, she enjoys playing badminton, discovering new cafés, and traveling to distant countries to explore nature and different cultures.

Benny brings experience in founding, scaling, carve-outs, and financing. His professional focus areas include (re)structuring accounting, financial modeling, and controlling. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis or spending time in the mountains.
